The only one I'm aware of is 154.1 w/ tone 123.0 - I don't know if it is still used for patches/simulcasting w/ 800. If Mike Agner reads this, he'll probably be able to give you the latest.

Thanks, Al.....I never seem to copy anything on that freq.....either I'm just not near the radio when it's active or maybe the output is a bit too weak for me to copy it up North.

I think the latter is probably the cause. It's extremely strong here but I'm two miles from the transmitter. Considering the nature of the broadcast on that freq, the signal really only needs to travel short distances in any direction from their antenna to cover anything they will respond to.

I'm a couple of miles south of BWI and I can hear the dispatcher/base on the VHF freq but not the mobiles.... Luckily, everything is on the AA County TRS system ... but I usually keep it locked out unless I hear county units dispatched to BWI or I hear an interesting page come across the VHF...

Hey,

I saw a reference to BWI Airport security using freqs in the 808mhz range - anyone know what this might be?

If you mean those 800 mhz freqs that were spotted in another post, as far as I can tell they're dead, or in use by mobiles/portables only, which would make it very hard to hear. BWI/MTA security is on 453.9 (123.0) and is very active. Make sure you program the PL, as the city of Bladensiburg uses the same freq with a different PL 73s Mike

I don't want to sound cryptic, but I saw a very recent reference (not on the internet) to the range of 808mhz, but not the exact frequncies. I was just wondering if anyone living near the airport has ever monitored anything BWI-related in that range.

Hmm...The 808 Mhz range would be the inputs for a system on 853 Mhz; There is a little-used trunk at the Port, but I don't think that's what you are talking about. How about being a bit more specific - like with freqs? Add 45 mhz to find the true outputs.

My source was refering to 808Mhz radios as a type, I suppose to differentiate them from UHF or VHF radios - no specific frequncies were mentioned. However, I'll go out on a limb here to say this was in context to rebanding.
