Yes it does. Most if not all of the nuclear generating stations in illinois are owned and operated by exelon the last I knew.
I'm not sure how harmful tritium is to us, but I have tritium night sights on a weapon I have...hmmmm.

I have driven by the Byron plant a few times, just kind of scary to think of what can happen. I have also heard some radio traffic on the trunked radio system they use when I drove by there last fall. It wasn't very active when I monitored it for the short time I was listening and also its a fairly low power system.
