C-470 / Ken Caryl - torching Wildland fire

West Metro Fire is working a fire originating at 470 and Bowles area.

Now on their Tac 3 are reporting torching on the west side which is Ken Caryl, 100 yards DOWNSLOPE , 1/4 mile from structures as of 15:47

There is a great LIVE streaming view of the actual fire.

Edit... Someone at CDOT swung the camera to the east and all you can see now is slow moving cars instead of the ridge torching. Apparently they found the northbound parking lot that was C-470 traffic more interesting.

Air resources?

Well it's been over an hour, and they're still talking about how Air Resources are "en route"

They'd stated that there was a Type I Helicopter coming from Jeffco (KBJC) which is maybe a 15 minute flight. They can probably see the column of smoke from the Airport ;-(

Just heard traffic on Air to Ground and they're going to be dipping the Bambi Bucket on the east side of the Hogback

Too bad the person assigned to speak to the Helicopter forgot to grab his BK Radios so they can talk to Air Resources... took their 800's though....
Sam 21 has contact with the Helicopter making it's first drop at 16:14

I'm listening to West Metro fine, but where are the air resources located? Are they on a different system or are they using conventional frequencies?

I've been hearing some traffic on MARC Air-Ground 1 patch (TG 37866). The RR DB indicates this TG is patched to 169.4. Does anyone know if this is, in fact, the correct/current frequency to which TG 37866 is still patched?
