C Ch only selected on SAFE T?

I apologize again if this has been asked already but what is the difference in FreeScan for the BCD396XT if I have "selected" Control Channel Only or have it "unselected" on an Motorola P25 800 Mhz Indiana SAFET system? I know you don't need FreeScan to do this but I noticed on the preloaded factory settings that this is selected. Is performance affected in any way?

There's no reason not to use control channel only trunking when monitoring the SAFE-T system. As long as you have all possible control channels entered for the site(s) you wish to monitor, it should work fine.
