C.G. LMR Land Mobile Freq's: All P-25 ?

Hello,

Anyone happen to know which of the 28 C.G. LMR (Land-Mobile) frequencies are
P-25, or are they all now ?

BTW: For the P-25 ones, are they entered as "Conventional" ?

All depends on if the District now Sector has been upgraded to the new XTS Series radios.

Some are still Analog [DVP/DES Encryption] and others are Digital [P25 and P25/Enc]
Boston is P25 yet some of Sector Southern New England is Analog.
Same for Sector Northern New England, some Stations have the new Radios and some
are still using the older Radios.

Guess it all comes down to $$

Yea, all the USCG VHF frequencies are conventional.

The CG radios have all the channels programmed in three different modes - analog, analog with DES encryption and P-25. They can operate in whatever mode they need to use.

Is there a common PL for the analog CG channels? I get alot interference on vhf analog without a PL, but I have them loaded as digital (no interference) and don't pick up much. Sometimes I pick up Sector NY in the morning here in Philly.

CSQ just like the VHF Marine Channels.

Interesting as NY/NJ do use 163.1750, 164.9125, 164.300, 171.2375

Well I'm in the Philadelphia area quite a distance from NYC/N. Jersey but I pick up the 164.9125 P25 early in the am sometimes. I just have a RS ground plane antenna in the attic and a GRE 3001 pre amp.

Also the USCG Aux at 150.7000 Mhz, they usually run a Sunday Morning Net
as well as informal traffic here-n-there during the day.

Philly (Sector Delaware Bay) may use some of the CG channels in the simplex mode, P25 Clear/ENC. I caught traffic last year but was not able to confirm it was the USCG. They operate off of 81A as their primary channel as far as I can tell.

The USCG Auxillary 5th Dist Northern RX is active in the Philadelphia area. I think they have their net the third thursday of the month at 8:00pm. They also use 82A and a HF channel. Nothing interesting though it's like listening to 2M HAM Radio. I keep it in the radio in case of an emergency.

More and more of those Rptrs are finally being installed.

Thanks...sometimes when the Band open's it's helpfull to know the Tones up/down the Coast.
So that would be the Manasquan Area Repeater? is that DE or NJ, I have seen two tones listed, one for the NJ Area and the other Delaware..

Sector DE Bay (Philly) uses simplex on the 16x.xxx freqs, or so it would seem. I have only caught comms once from the small armed patrol boats when I was down at the Camden Aquarium. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate my notes, but it was in the 162/163 area. I've never caught any repeated comms from crews operating along the Delaware River/Bay.

This goes back 1-2 years.

I have a question that maybe somebody here can answer.

Back before the county went to Motorola trunked, 155.895 was "channel 4" for the Sheriff's office.

Now, for the last few years, that frequency is used by the local Coast Guard station, though the transmissions are quite short and from my house 5 miles inland I hear only one side of any conversation.

That would be Fort Pierece, FL, about 60 miles down the coast from Cape Canaveral.

That could be, as for liason, but back when it was active by the county I cannot remember ever hearing CG on it.

Could be an Image, see if you hear them on another channel at the same time.

It's not even on the old LANT Channel list
http://www.n2nov.net/nycmarine.html which contained many 153-156 Public Safety channels
, but the new CG-xxx do Not include them.

Henry David when I was on vacation in New Smyrna Beach FL Coast Guard Station Ponce was using channel 15 for communications, however i could not capture Cape Canaveral.

Also to everyone else, it seems as if CG Sector Baltimore still uses 23A for comms, I have scanned the frequencies listed in the Wiki during active incidents and have heard nothing, can anyone shed any light???
