0630hrs: Hwy-85 and WCR-77 T/A R/O with ejection and Medevac 1 now transporting a combative 20's male to NCMC requesting a hot off load.

0730hrs: 6-Baker-14 and S-87 on I-70 in the foothills I believe on multiple single vehicle R/O's with at least one chopper now landing onscene.

Clear Creek U/D: MM-218 command reports L/G 1 off-scene headed to SAC with a 45 y/o male restrained passenger of a pickup that rolled, awake and alert complaining of neck and back pain.

Subject: Multiple Crashes on I-70

On June 06, 2008 at around 5:30 AM Colorado State Patrol Troopers responded to reports of multiple motor vehicle crashes on I-70. Three crashes occurred near the Vail Pass summit (mile marker 192), one involved a semi that rolled down and embankment into the center median (minor injuries).

Five crashes involving 6 vehicles occurred at around 6:30 AM just east of Eisenhower tunnel, which included one semi truck and one serious injury (party was airlifted to St. Anthony Central).

It appears that ice had formed on the road surface overnight and contributed to the crashes.

Clean-up was completed around 9:30 AM
