I have been doing some researching and I have a question.

I have noticed cable attenuation rates at different frequencies related to length of cable, but everything compares a 100 ft cable..

So my question.. if you have a cable attenuation rate of 2.7 @ 450 MHz at 100 feet, is there a way to calculate it at say 50 ft ? I assume it would not be a direct proportional change... i.e. half the length half the attenuation.. does this make sense?

Thanks

Dave

There are attenuation calculaters available online. And yes half the cable length will be half the loss. The 100ft length is the 'standard' length used for attenuation ratings.
