Cable question

Since my laptop died, I'm in the need of a cable to program my bct15x from desktop computer which has usb only jacks. So I'm looking for this type of cable ,any suggestions.

USB to Serial

Since my laptop died, I'm in the need of a cable to program my bct15x from desktop computer which has usb only jacks. So I'm looking for this type of cable ,any suggestions.

I'd just buy a USB to SERIAL cable and connect it to the UNIDEN cable that came with your scanner. Just make sure you get a USB to FEMALE because they sell both kinds.

I use the FTDI cable.It is a little more pricey then Prolific cheap cables, but it is supported on most operating systems and works flawlessly with multiple devices and radios I program and access.
