By Honey Brook Fire Company
On Thursday, April 28th the Honey Brook Fire Company was dispatched for an ambulance to assist Lancaster County Station 3-4 (Churchtown) on an automobile accident on Route 322 in Caernarvon Township. 3-4 units were dispatched for spill control after an automobile accident involving a loaded school bus and a box truck. After assessing the situation, 3-4 called for EMS units for one with chest pains. Ambulance 33-1 quickly responded followed by Ambulance 33-2 shortly after. After further assessment by EMS crews it was determined that there were 10 additional patients needing transport. Additional EMS units were requested as Fire and EMS units began to triage and treat the patients. As additional EMS units arrived they were loaded with patients and then preceded to a local hospital. After all patients were transported and documentation was completed between Fire and EMS crews, units returned to service.
