The California And Exposition Police are using CLEMARS 800 MHZ.
The frequency is 868.5125 with a PL of 156.7 . The State Fair security division is using 453.150 PL of 146.2 . The 453.150 is the year round freq for cal expo but during the fair is used by the explorers and security.
Maintenance at the fair uses 453.800 and 453.400. The shuttle buses use 453.975. During the 80's CLEMARS 154.920 was used but they are no longer using that freq. There are a number of business frequencies that are being used in the 150 MHZ range and the 460 MHZ range. Last year 2004 the State Fair Police used the Sacramento County Trunked System and were on CO-Tac 1 and 2.But Again are on CLEMARS This year.

I've never listened in on the 800 CLEMARS freq. Is it a repeater frequency?

I should be able to listen to it at home then. I'll give it a listen.

I Went to the fair again and the Cal Expo PD is also using 866.2000 PL 156.7. Appearently this frequency is another 800 MHZ CLEMARS. This is also repeatered as well. Cal Expo PD uses this one for records checks.

If they are on the TRS now, what talkgroups are they using? I haven't heard them on there.

Something's not right here. I didn't hear a peep on the TRS regarding the fair. I didn't even hear anything on all the freqs that someone else posted either. If they have new TGs assigned, then I could have missed it. Maybe time to ask for a new fleetmap from the radio guys?

I heard activity on 866.200 and 868.5125 but it was staticky, especially 868.5125. 866.200 sounded like multiple repeaters were on when the carrier dropped (the stronger repeater had a shorter hang time than the weaker one).

I still occasionally hear people talking simplex on 868.5125, but I know it isn't fair related now, of course.

I know this is an old thread, but last night I heard a unit advising a Sergeant to keep his 800 with him, because some of the field units were on those instead of the VHF. Still don't know what freq/talkgroup they were using, though. I do have the two CLEMARS programmed and scanning, but not a peep was heard.

Just ran the FCC database, and there's a few freqs that I don't know anything about. Assuming some are inputs, but others must be alternate uses.

I heard Cal Expo activity on 866.200 a few nights ago. Same as before, with several repeaters coming up simultaneously.

The freq's don't have to be on the TRS do they? I see two new freq's that are conventional 800MHz; 855.7125 and 859.7625 licensed at Cal Expo.
