Caldwell and Roseland PD

I used to be able to hear Caldwell and Roseland PD on my scanner. I know that Caldwell is now being dispatched by North Caldwell and West Caldwell is now dispatching for Roseland; but, I am volunteer EMS and I can hear Caldwell and Roseland on the scanner they have at the building. So, I know that they are not encrypted (yet)
Does anyone know what I can do to troubleshoot this?

Yeah, I don't know what the problem is. I was able to hear them up until a few weeks ago. Figured they went encrypted. But, when I was at the squad building, I was hearing Caldwell PD an Roseland PD being sent to calls and doing traffic stops. So, they are not yet encrypted. I am just perplexed how I can't listen to them anymore.

Yes...SDS100. Someone said that they were in the NJICS system but on the Sentinel software, they are not...they are still in the county system of Essex County.

Yes, I was sent this before. HOWEVER, when I look in the NJICS system for Essex County, Caldwell and Roseland are not listed there. I deleted and reinstalled the Sentinel software but that didn't work.

Check your PM, I sent you a Sentinel .hpe file you can unzip & import into Sentinel

that is from NJICS.

I know that is what you are telling me....maybe I am not putting it the right way.
I program my scanner in the following manner:
- open the Sentinel database on my compter
- find the department I want to put on the scanner
- connect my scanner to the computer and write it to my scanner

Now, I know you are saying (as well as the other poster) that they are on NJICS. What I am trying to tell you is that when I go into my Sentinel database, Caldwell and Roseland are not listed under that system. They are listed under "county systems" under Essex.

how far away do you live from there ?

I am in Fairfield so very close. Been listening to Fairfield (up til their encryption), Caldwell, W. Caldwell, N. Caldwell (until their encryption), Essex Fells (again...encryption LOL) and Roseland for decades.

Hey! I updated Sentinel again...and it worked! I now see Caldwell and Roseland in the NJICS system in database. I appreciate all your help!
