Hi there I am new to the forum and would like some help on a scanner decision. I do not want to spend the amount of money yet to hear p25 transmissions. But I would like to listen to as much fire rescue and police as I can so I'm looking for advice on what the minimum scanner I would need to do this in my area

Practically any scanner will work in Caledonia County. No digital that I know of.

I would recommend the BC125AT for a portable. The features are well and above that of the 72, 75, 92, and 95. Well worth the ~$25 or so to get the BC125AT.

I have no idea for a base scanner.
