State Fair opened yesterday and I'm trying to monitor using their old 453 freqs and not hearing anything.
Google Gemini is telling me they switched to DMR radios, Radio Reference database shows their old FM systems.
Is Gemini hallucinating? Can anyone confirm DMR?
I don't want to pay for the DMR license for SDS200 unless I know will be able to use it.

Thanks.

I know the monorail uses DMR and PD has the two dedicated 800 channels. I think security may still use the the UHF frequencies, but not 100% certain.

I programmed the UHF security frequency in my Unication G5 when I bought it months ago, and I haven't heard a peep. I hear plenty of traffic on the 800 MHz PD frequency.

thanks, i'm already monitoring those freqs and hearing digital noise on 453.975 and 453.400. not a peep on the others.

855.7125 is still carrying some CalExpo PD traffic, but not the amount of traffic I've heard in the past while the fair is in session.
