Can someone tell me about Calgary police systems?
I saw this from last year (http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8687)... And wonder if that is still true?

Are they still mostly unencrypted and using APCO 25?
Also, someone was telling me you need a license to buy a digital scanner ?!? This isn't true right?

Last I checked, you only need a valid credit card and a good
reliable supplier from the USA. Brokerage fees for shipping will be
high though.
If you buy from a Canadian supplier, you will have to fax some documentation proving that you meet qualifications.

This is about the only time I suggest not to buy Canadian.

For some reason I didn't see that page when I was looking at the database.

I'd love to play around with one of the bearcat digital's but they are more $$ than I have for that kind of thing right now.
