I am trying to program for listening to California State Parks in the Folsom Lake/Auburn area.

I note the frequencies listed are for the most part, the same. I've listened to that freq for hours and heard nothing.

I hear traffic on Green Valley Blue.

Does anyone have a more accurate listing?

TIA

If you are in Pilot Hill, certainly signals from there will BOOM (with little/no antenna). However, a strong signal from there could also hurt in receiving distant weak signals. I think the SP channel colors used are Blue & Tan. Here's what I monitor. Note that LE is P25.

Have you received traffic on that channel in P25? I have seen a semi-official record of that channel being analog with DCS 115 (IRON is the color name), but never have tried to confirm myself whether it’s actually analog or P25 in person.

My gut feeling is that I have not received on that LE recently. I am not watching the display and mostly going by what I hear. This is not the time of year I'd expect that channel to be very active anyway. I can say I have 'recently' picked up traffic from Prairie City on P25, but that ebbs and flows quite a bit too.

My Friend,
where is the most uptodate Park listing for the state? I'm in Visalia. Most appreciate your help.

I never hear radio traffic on their P25 frequency pair for Folsom Lake. Prairie City SVRA P25 channel stays fairly active however.

All operations (law, kiosks, & lifeguard towers) occur on Green Valley Blue, unless you make your way further up river or towards Marshall Gold then you would monitor Pilot Tan I believe it is.
