Calling out Edmonton

Hey all,

Please help us update the Edmonton systems in the DB.

Of particular interest is the Edmonton Public Safety system. I've broken things down into various groups, but I don't recall enough of the system in detail to know which channels are analog (or readable with a scanner) and which are digital (or, in other words, not).

Please submit info - you can even remain anonymous if you wish. Just remember that there are people in the scanning community who don't know this stuff and would like to, and you were at that point once in your pursuit of the hobby!

In listening to the system, I am hearing EMS automated dispatch for Edmonton on the following talkgroup instead of Beaumont as listed in the database.

2045 15-155 A BEAUMONT FD Beaumont Fire (xpatch to 151.4) Fire-Tac

Is that the only place EMS auto-disp is broadcast? I'm wondering if it's not a patch or multi-select. Would EMS have a need to send alerts to Beaumont FD, I mean. Down here in Calgary, we have a talkgroup that is considered a patch to a rural VHF system, but it's used for other stuff as well.

This is a patch channel. EMS Dispatch console two has been holding it open for weeks now linked to Dispatch one, I think today it is 2046??
