By Thorndale Fire Company September 8, 2010 Wednesday September 8, 2010 11:47 hrs The Thorndale Fire Company was dispatched to a truck fire on the Route 30 By-pass East of Route 322. While responding the Chester County Fire Dispatch advised Sergeant 38 the truck had heavy fire in the tractor area. Crews lead off with a 1 3/4 attack line to extinguish the fire.
Heavy Traffic was a concern due to the bypass being shut down a Fire Police Task Force was used to direct the traffic off the bypass. Units: Engine, Rescue and Traffic 38 Mutual Aid: Engine 46-2. Traffic 49, 37, 45 and 39
