I see on Calvert county’s data base page they have a VHF Fire dispatch frequency 154.39250 And then there is a frequency of 33.82000 , which says it’s TRS related fire dispatch..

Which frequencies still work? I use the trunking system not single frequencies , but is any of these frequencies used for a fire tone out ???

Why not program them both and then submit your findings to the RRDB and / or wiki?

The Low Band Frequency is still in use, the VHF frequency may not come on the air until the new system does.

So can I use the low band for the tone out frequency’s? Or does only the VHF frequency put out the tones?

Also if I keep the tone A and B at 0.0hz will it find any tone that is put out and read it to me on tone standby?

He's saying VHF low is the current paging channel, and will change to VHF high later.

Follow this link to the tone:

Oh ok thank you both.

I have a question regarding this
North Beach VFD Co.1
Fire Chief 1 – 524.8 – 1357.6
Fire- 524.8 – 1084.0
EMS- 524.8 – 1251.4
You see how the first tones are all the same but the last tones are different like Fire is 1084.0 and end is 1251.4 and Chief is 1357.6 ... does that mean that if I type in Cheifs tones that it will pick up on all the time outs for end and fire as well ?? Since it’s a higher tone scale?

No, in two tone paging, both tones are required to alert an asset (OK, not always.) It's not uncommon for the first tone to "signify" a station, and the second, a "resource" that is associated with the station. For example, for a local alarm, dispatch would send the station tone (524.8+1084.0) that could ring bells open doors, blow sirens, set off volunteer pagers, etc. A box alarm might alert both the station (524.8+1084.0,) and the fire chief (524.8+1357.6) The tones are sent sequentially. Back when I ran calls, we would memorize the tones, so when we heard the first tone of the 2 tone pair, we more or less knew it was for our area

So basically I have to choose if I want to hear a medical call or a fire call tone out ?? The fire tone out won’t work for medical calls too?

Do I have to choose between wha kind of call I want to receive? I want to receive both fire and medical box calls. So should I use both the EmS tones and fire tones and just let it scan both back and forth?

Yes, it can scan several tone pairs, but I'm not sure if you can scan the Calvert system at the same time. You will have to experiment.
