Hey all -

I have been hearing rumblings that Lejeune is going to cut over to a 380 Mhz (Poss P-25) system. If anyone else has heard the same, please let me know! Once I find more details I will advise if I dont hear from anyone else!

you miss read it. he said a p-25 system (APCO Project 25)
yes you can listen to p-25 system if you have an extra $400.00 laying around for a new radio. not sure if it will cover 380 MHz or not.

i do hope the CDC can find a cure for "digital fever" that all radio systems seem to be getting.

I figured it was a matter of time before both Camp Lejuene and Cherry Point switched. A lot of the Naval installations in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina have switched to a common system and the Norfolk area is in the process of switching.

Cherry Point is in the process of putting together a new dispatch center. However thats been in the making for years and $$$ was a big hold up. I dont forsee them changing the radio setup we have now in the near future.
