• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I have a UHF Motorola GP-380 that I need re flashed with a good codeplug. I do not have a flash adapter or the money for one at this time. Just need to get my portable working ASAP. Radio is brand new just has the codeplug error. I don't need any programming done other than a good codeplug wrote back into the radio, If you can flash this radio for me and get it working for a cheap price please let me know. Thanks.

My fault, The radio has a codeplug error... I just need it fixed so I can program the radio and use it. I have tried loading other codeplugs into the radio via my CPS and none of them are working. I forgot to save the original codeplug so it just needs recovered from the codeplug error.

Then - what you need is a code plug from another exact same model with the exact same flash code
so you can program a good code plug into the radio.

Not sure but I think I heard of a web site that has good code plugs on it
to download. You may want to do a google search and see if you can find
it or perhaps someone else will post it for you.

There is no flashcode on a Pro series radio....

I was not being model specific - just letting the op know proper procedure.

If there is no flash on a GP-380 then that is one less obstacle for the op.

Since I do not have any experience with a GP-380 I would not know that fact.

Re

Hey guys I was just goin off what others have said. I was advised that the radio's firmware had to be re flashed. I have searched for codeplugs on both top sites and have still had no luck in finding one that my radio accepts. So here are the specs on it.

Motorola GP-380 UHF

TANAPA: PMUE1579A
Version Number:R07.06.03 #1571
Model Number: AZH25RDH9AA6

I have tried all the code plugs that were in my CPS as well and none of them will take in my radio. If anyone could help me get this radio working It would be greatly appreciated.
