Hello,

Can anyone stream Fremont County? Specifically Tallahassee Volunteer Fire?

We use a cabin up there that doesn't have internet yet, may not be able to get it, and I would love to know what is going on there here from Denver.

Thanks

So far pretty much everything that is dispatched by Florence PD, SO, Florence FD has been encrypted. I can't say for sure if Tallahasse is dispatched by Florence or not, there isn't too many calls for them. There have been some new TG's latley, but not much way to tell who they are..unforunately.

I have been unable to indentify t/g 4412 and 4420, they have really been intermitten and usually only active when i am away from the computer, there are encrypted as well. Ironically, CL, there was a structure fire in the Tallahasse area saturday night. I was awakened by the Deer Mountain Fire page out for mutual aid. Not familiar enough with the area to get the exact location.

I have 4412 as Florence PD Admin and 4420 as Penrose FD Tac.

Oh great, maybe I don't want to know what's going on there :)

I have an extra VHF Scanner that I could send to someone who wants to stream the vhf fd's up there.

Thanks for letting me know, lostguy, appreciate it!

You really have to love these agencies that want to keep the public that they serve from kowning what's going on around them! So would they set off the civil defense sirens if something big was happening, and would you be able to figure out why they did anyway?

I bet there are a lot of people in Boulder county right now that are glad they can get info about the big fire they have there. Who knows it could even save your life if you were listening and could avoid certain places or get off your property.

I'm kinda wondering what your course of action would be if you did have Internet up there. Would you have a scanner running 24/7 connected to a computer or something?

Looking into those 200 dollar tiny pc's, and, I personally would have "Tallahassee Fire"streamed, unless someone asked for more.

I also want internet for web cam to see how much snow is up there or if there is mud...

The internet for me would be for:
1) Scanner for the fd
2) webcam on weather conditions
3) weather station (on a web cam or wunderground)
4) a significant work incentive ( if we had inet phone,/ good data up/downlink, we could work up here :) )
]

:)
