Can I move my allband antenna closer to my other antennas?

Hello!

So my question is, is I purchased an all band tram antenna lip mount to mount on my trunk.

I mounted this to the far right of my trunk, but on my trunk I also have another 4ft tall antenna (I believe the purpose is for SIRS RADIO) and a 4 inch antenna for some other equipment.

My question is, is can I move my all band antenna to be on the trunk lip directly behind the 4" antenna for more uniformity and alignment without interfering or disrupting the neighboring antennas purpose/ability.

Also, can I safely spray paint my tram antenna with a chrome or silver spray paint to get it to match?

I don't want to do either of these two things, but I've pretty much required to for work purposes.

No, and no.

Moving your scanner antenna closer to a TX antenna is a good way to fry your scanner. In my vehicle I have my antennas 36" apart and get 1/2-watt of RF feeding into my scanner coax from a 25-watt radio. You're already closer than that.

Moving antennas closer together will have other undesirable effects on SWR and gain pattern as well.

Chrome/silver paint is a bad idea for an antenna. You want nonconductive paint without any metallic particles. Painting them all flat black would be better.

Get a RF power meter (something that measures watts) and connect it to your scanner antenna. Key up your transmitters one at a time, and see what reading the watt meter reads.
