Can Not detect 536hp

I am trying to load a new favorite list into my 536hp
I am using ARC536pro software.
I have been successful in the past but i must have forgot something
I hook up USB, choose mass storage, then go to ARC and click write to scanner, then I get a screen saying no scanner detected.
I click detect scanner with no luck.
The message in the blue at the bottom says to re hook up usb, select mass storage and try again.
I do with ame results.
What am I doing wrong?

Watch the scanner dispLay when you connect to the computer. You need to put in the proper mode to communicate with the computer. It will give you two choices, pressing . or E. You want to press E.

When you are in mass storage mode, look in Windows File Explorer and see if the SD card shows up as a removable drive.

From your symptoms, you may be experiencing a corrupt SD card.

I get a window that says Removable disk (K)
I am not sure what to select
Open
Import
Use drive for back up
Speed up my system
IF SD is corrupt Am I screwed.
I am not a dummy, but I do not understand IT talk either
Scanner says mass storage at this time.
I have been able to get this radio programmed in the past.
Can not figure out sentinel software to save my soul. I would like to build a code plug from the ground up myself, not using imports, but sentinel does not permit this in a fassion that I understand and can work with.
The ARC is straight forward in that part
I am holding on the next step

Ok I got the comm problem solved, An anti virus software was not letting them communicate with each other.
Now I have to figure out how to get the new favorites list to scan again.
The 536 is a use it or lose it scanner as far as changing systems, favorites, or what ever they are called. It has been awhile.
