Can ProScan Trial Read and Write?

I am monitoring my scanner but I can't read or write to memory. Web site says full version not crippled but is this feature enabled ? Sentinel works...

Thought so... just can't get it to read or write memories. Everything else seems to work, have not tried server stuff though.

What Uniden scanner are you using? This is my current desktop setup all recording and logging traffic all at the sametime.

You have to plug into the USB port and select Mass storage from the menu. You can't use serial.

AHHH.... that did not click. Let me try that. I have connected with the USB cable in the front port but I selected the remote vs mass storage mode.

OK mass storage... this is going to take some new thinking on my part. I got mass storage figured out now. BUT I am having trouble saving now it seems IDK. I have downloaded what I want from RR and am trying to WRITE to Radio (SD card) and it does not seem to do anything when I click on OK. The Location based scanning did not work for me, too much junk. Stuff I don't want to hear and too far away but the other stuff I really want did not seem to be in there.

At this moment I can't do anything. I took the time to update the database and firmware via Sentinel while reading the ProScan manual. I am 50% complete it seems with the database update, firmware is complete.

I read what seems to be the entire Proscan manual, at least scanned it and do not see very much mentioned about uploading and downloading from the scanner. I know it seems simple you would think but apparently not via normal train of thought.

Use Sentinel to update the scanner database. That's one thing ProScan can't do.

Don't set Range more than 5 miles. Make sure your Service Types are set correctly. And make sure the database is up to date.

I just updated the database... the location type scanning I do not think will work well for me, I live in a crappy RF hole. I am quite rural and limited as to what I can listen to. My own county which is pretty large, maybe some of the state stuff but again I live in the boondocks and coverage is bad. I live just outside of the Charlotte NC range, maybe with careful aim of a yagi and a high gain LNA I can mange.

BUT wondering what I am doing wrong that I can't upload these files from ProScan to the scaner. I did do it but using Sentinel. Need to think of how to configure these groups, I think I am going to put my county into one scan bank, the county and the State HP into a second one and then the stuff just over the border in NC into it's own scan bank.
