This morning I was toying around with my RSP1A and found a BOOMER of a station, kind of like it was next door. However when I looked it up online it said it was coming from Tinian Island. I've included a 30 second clip so you can see what I mean. - Thanks.

Thanks, I suppose it's possible as I'm on the left coast. I was just surprised to have such a strong signal.
There isn't much between the left coast and mainland china, not sure why it was such a shock?

That band, that time, I often hear China and Asia booming in.

T!

Here is an example. This is the 31 meter band as received at my location in the Mojave Desert of California, this morning, 22 Jan, 2024, at about 1558 UTC. Every vertical line on the waterfall is an AM station. Most of the signals seen are Asian or South Pacific.

The displayed range is 9220 kHz to 10020 kHz. The demod is tuned to 9315 kHz, the frequency originally reported in this thread. Since this is a still image,t hat does not help much, but the S meter in the lower right corner is tied to that demod, and you can see the signal is 30 over S9.

I'm hoping for displays like this in the spring when I put up my patio loop.
