Can somone help me with an initial set up problem for the PSR-500

I cannot get the radio (psr-500) to program any frequecy I enter, it always enters a number below the frequency I enter. For example Milford Police frequency 424.12500 enter 424.12500 it displays 424.01000 in scanner It is like this with every frequency I program. Thanks for your consideration.

If you hit program>Function>F3. Now scroll down to FLEXSTEP and turn it on save your setttings
and your all done! Good Luck!
