Can The Pro-93 and Pro-95 do mil-air?

Can the Pro-93 or Pro-95 do mil-air? I have heard that there is a way to open up that band. How is this done? Any info would be great.

if you program the freq into a memory channel, it will.. you cannot search the band with the scanner, as it will revert back to its "normal" band selections.

I would also assume that like Win92, the extended range searches can be programmed on one of the search banks with the software, and will remain thus till you change it.

So if I just program a local mil-air frequency through Win-95 like the frequency (284.7) and set it to AM mode then I should be able to hear it just fine?

wow.. looks like don found a way to get it to search:

This feature can only be used in programmed channels - it does not work in the user-defined Limit Search (SR5). The scanner makes additional checks for "valid" frequencies. It has to, so that it can jump between its valid ranges as it's scanning.
UPDATE! You can search through the Extended Ranges! Using Win95, program an out-of-range frequency into some channel. On the PRO-95, select that channel in "manual mode". Press FUNC TUNE. The scanner will no search up (or down) from that frequency. If you let it enter a "valid" range, it won't go back to the invalid range, so you'll have to select the channel and hit FUNC TUNE again.

The PRO-95 receiver was not designed to cover the
225 - 400 MHz mil air band and doesn't work very well.
Mine is really deaf compared to my PRO-2006.
I have not tried programming 225 - 400 search range in mine,
so I don't know if that will work, but I do know that if you that you can
scan up & down the band by manually going to a channel (that
was programmed with Win95) and
pressing FUNCTION, TUNE and use the up/down arrows when you
get to either end of the band.
