Can this Attenna i own be used to transmit with a handheld c

Can this attenna i own be used to transmit with a handheld cobra cb? or a mobile radioshack car cb? because whenever i transmit with my handheld cb hooked up to it no one answers back?http://www.radioshack.com/product.a...me=CTLG_008_009_010_001&product_id=20-176 :?:

The short answer is no. You are very likely to damage the final output transistor in either radio when transmitting. That antenna is cut for high band and uhf which is great for a scanner, but not a cb. You need a mobile cb antenna or a base antenna cut for the 27mhz. band.
