Hello,

I would like to find out if the Win97 software progam can download any Pasadena, CA Police radio freqs into my pro-97 from the RR web site using the "web import" function. If so, how?

Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

PS - I have been told that my pro-97 cannot pick up any LAPD police freqs because they have gone to digital radios. If anybody knows of any LAPD police freqs that are compatible wih the pro-97, please advise.

Thx.

I don't have WIN97, but do have WIN96 and it will import all 6 freqs ok. Are you selecting conventional when importing? Also the file for LA county is very large and takes some time to load, even with DSL.

Hi, thanks for answer. Where did you get the 6 Pasadena freqs from on RR? I did not find them in the other link you sent me today.

Thx.

What version of Win97 are you using? I am using version 1.18. It allows me to download to my 97 and Pro-163. LAPD has gone P-25 digital on their PD frequencies. This means, that even though that you import the frequencies, it will only make a digital noise on the scanner. LAFD is still in the clear. Pasadena I would presume would be in the clear. If you are trying to listen to ICIS, it is mostly digital. An excellent group to belong to is: http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/socalscan
When I visited San Diego a couple of years ago, they were a great help in planning my scanning:) There is a wealth of knowledge for your area in that group.

HTH,

Thanks. Looks like LAPD is a lost cause for me with a non-digital pro-97. But the rest of the stuff downloaded to my scanner well and I'm happily scanning through other cities now that still work with my scanner.
