Can you transmit on a SMA VHF/UHF/800 MHz REM-842S REMTRONIX Portable Triband Antenna? How much power?

Probably best to contact Remtronix as they do not list max tx power rating.

The real question is, why would you want to? An antenna designed specifically for RX only scanner applications on a radio that transmits? I'd stick with the proper antenna for whatever radio you have, as it was optimized for both RX and TX within that radio's range of operation.

True, while I understand it’s not optimal to use the antenna for transmitting, I was still curious about using it in a situation where it was the only option. It’ll probably never come to that but thanks for the input.
