Howdy y'all I am new to the forum (and the hobby, at least since OKWIN). I would like to monitor both the Canadian County sheriff as well as rural Canadian county fire departments. Are these available, or are they encrypted?

el reno fire is using DMR
calumet is good
geary fire covers much of the NW county DMR
mustang fire is on city metro and is phase 2
piedmont fire is good
union city is NXDN
yukon fire is on city metro and is phase 2
cedar lake rural is good
richland rural is good

so if you want to hear ALL then you need a radio that gets
P-25 phase 2
DMR
NXDN.

So your looking at at least a Uniden 996P2 to get started on PH-2 and then having to get the DMR upgrade. If you want to hear Union City then you'll need the NXDN Upgrade. A Whistler TRX-2 will get you to PH-2 and DMR and supposedly NXDN without purchasing upgrades.

Thanks fellas! I am surprised none of the above are on Broadcastify...that is why I was concerned they may be encrypted or otherwise inaccessible.

Broadcastify is made up of scanner feeds that operators put online, so if you don't see an ID in bold it means no one is feeding it with a scanner.

Canadian CO SO is on both VHF and OKWIN.
El Reno PD/FIRE will be going P25 in the near future. (likely with encryption)
Pafford EMS for Canadian County is VHF analog that is patched to a UHF DMR channel from OK CO and sounds like ****. Plan was for P25 however that is a no-go stating they have no money for it.
Union City FD/PD will be going P25 in the near future.
Yukon FD is also toned out on VHF but tones only, no voice.
Mustang FD is toned out on VHF as well as initial dispatch but no units are usually heard on this ch.
