I can find them while searching the RR database but when I look for them to program going though PPS I cannot find them in the RR search. It will only let me do counties and cities, not the whole state. California Highway Patrol doesn't show up in city or county searches that I can see.

To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:
Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.
To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.
The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.
For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Cannot find CHP frequencies in database when going through PPS

There is a category for "Statewide" in the PPS database, as well as individual counties, however I spent ten to 15 minutes looking through everything in California and agree with you, I can not find it either.
Thanks, I thought I was just dumb. Yeah, I finally found "statewide" after I posted but nope, not in there.
Is it maybe because other than the extenders everything else is low band so they chose to not include it? Just a guess.

Or not. I just checked my county (which has a couple of low band business freqs) and they populated. The quest continues...
Just tried to find my state DPS (which has an extensive VHF network) and it doesn't exist. So I'd guess ANY statewide entity won't be included.
I suspect they are supposed to be under that "Statewide" category, but the several states I checked have nothing there.
Found it! Choose California, but leave the county blank, then it's under "Agencies".
Oh cool. Thank you! Mine won't let me leave the county blank unless I search somewhere else with it blank first then go back to California, otherwise it saves the last county searched in that state. I think that should be under "statewide". thanks again👍🏼

open RR; Click database tab; map appears ~ click on California; when it opens look on right side in the colunm & find Calif Highway Patrol; click once more & enjoy
That's awesome, but the OP was asking about in the Unication PPS.
It's the programming software for Unication devices. No idea on any "articles" about it.
The issue was resolved almost a month ago, so to avoid anymore confusion I'm closing this.
