Muskogee has gone P25 and you'll need a digital-capable scanner. The Pro 96 should work. Just make sure you have the system programmed correctly. The OKWIN P25 network will NOT reband as I have been told. I was thru there a few months ago and picked up turnpike traffic.

As noted, the OKWIN sites in that area are P25. See
Oklahoma Wireless Interoperability Network (OKWIN) Project 25 Trunking System, Varies, Oklahoma - Scanner Frequencies

Real P25 not a regular Type II site with P25 audio. Configure your radio accordingly.

Despite what the listing says, talkgroups are all the same as the non-P25 DB entry. Not all talkgroups are audible on all sites, of course, but the numbers are the same.

I have the Muskogee P25 system as well as the conventional system in my PRO 197. I'm on Keystone Lake so can't receive the the Muskogee sites. I do hear their EMS talk group analog once in awhile. Not sure what site that's coming in on.

dissapointed in muskogee county

Came up here to visit friends and could not hear a thing in Muskogee county.I am using a pro-96 and could only hear the dispatch side of ems on conventional. I had every frequency in the database and the 2003 police call programmed and could hear nothing. And yes i had it programed correctly. Checked it twice. any thoughts Mark

2003 Police Call is out-dated, there are 2 Muskogee systems in the DB, one P-25 and the other MOT 800 type2, did you have them both programmed?

Then the next question is were the correct ID's in the correct systems and scan enabled or were you searching ID's. Don't mean to sound like stupid questions but I have seen these things before especially if using software to program the scanner. Nothing harder than trying to correctly program an out of range system and hope it worked. There are all kinds of SW gremlins that will make a system useless if all the hoops weren't jumped through.

muskgee trunked systems

well, we are back home in Winnsboro, La. we enjoyed our stay in muskogee. I programed both systems into my Pro-96 and all i picked up was either osp or the turnpike. I also programed the conv. freq. for muskogee and all i picked up was the disp. side of ems. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Mark

The only other thing that comes to mind is that the audio setting was on analog and not auto or digital. Had you mentioned in you other posts that you were still in Muskogee I would have been more than happy to have met up with you to figure out the issues.

Muskogee Monitored

When I visited Muskogee around four months ago, I heard Muskogee PD, SO, & EMS quite well. The system was very active.

The RR DB currently shows four TG's for Muskogee County. When I was there, I also heard an encrypted TG which I could not find in my memory. I didn't same this into my working memory after catching this TG with my Wildcard Function (GRE PSR 500).

Also, OHP has TG's specific to Muskogee County & the toll road.

I don't know anything about Uniden digital scanners. So, I don't know if Wildcards can be loaded. This is how I discover emerging TG's.

I don't know what to say if someone is manually programming this system. But, when I download the OWKIN P25 system, the TG's load just fine using Win500 programming software.

Uniden allows for an open scan of systems by using ID search vs. ID scan. A little easier to operate IMHO.

I don't know if that is the same things as a Wildcard. GRE has something called a "sweeper" like "close call", but I am unfamiliar with Uniden digital radios. It sounds like "ID search" might be similar to Wildcard, but I would be guessing.

For those using software, you can easily download OWKIN P25 with the Muskogee TG's.

When I observed where you live, I recall being very annoyed at Broken Arrow going to Open Sky. But, luckily, I was able to hear some very interesting surveillance traffic in Tulsa.
