Can't find ChatCom (Sandy Springs / John's Creek)

My GreCom PSR-500 just suddenly went silent. Still says "System ChatCom 911" but there's no traffic.

Also noticed that the RR feed for ChatCom is silent as well.

Anyone know what's going on? Did they do another re-banding?

Fulton County has added another control channel to their system. You may want to update your scanner (I updated the FulCo system a couple days ago).

I'll update the scanner this evening and give it another go. I hate to mess with the scanner settings if I don't know what problem I'm trying to fix...

Thanks to all. The new control channel apparently was the problem.

I used WIN500 to download the latest RR posting and update the GreCom PSR-500.

Again, I 'preciate the pointers.

Have you checked your CC's in the scanner? You may need to check the database here and see if you have all programmed in.

I had been listening for Fulton TRS over the past week..
I am not getting any audio from the TRS this morning..

I see that a new control channel was added to the fulton county TRS...
I have 4 listed at the moment, and in my bc396t..
I dont hear anything still..
Are the CC channels listed currently in RR for fulton TRS the most recent ones?

Do any other settings need to be set on my scanner?

I have Fleet map at custom (block 0, size 3) , not sure where i got those settings from..
but they are there (how do we find the fleet map on RR database now?)
Status bit at ignore
Set end code is Yes
Digital end code is ignore
I-call is on, but have never heard anything from it..
CC only is yes..
ideas?
No other channels are in frequencies for this bank except for the CC ones (listed in red on Fulton TRS page)

Something is wrong with your setup if you aren't getting audio...i'm getting Fulton County TRS voice comms good as ever (loud n crackly) on control channel 857.8625 as i type (Tues Morning). This is using GRE equipment.

Needing a Fleet map for the Fulton County system went away when they went Type II a few years ago. Make sure that you have it in as a Type II Moto system. I import straight from radio reference using FreeScan www.sixspotsoftware.com

The only way you'd find a Fleet map for a system is if it is Type I, or a Type IIi hybrid.

The only usage I ever heard on I-call was years ago (maybe 10?). It was the SO using it as a private channel. I believe they've gotten a little smarter over the years

Right now, I'm listening to ChatComm on a Pro-163. Coming in loud and scratchy clear. CC is 857.8625. Have the system programmed into my digital scanners as well. No problems. Just lose the Fleet map. It will hinder how the scanner works.

I thought that's what I said My guess is that they have it as Type IIi. Where a fleet map would work. And not work on a Type II system. Did I confuse the issue more?

problem is the FCTRS USED to be a type IIi, with type I subfleets- and much of this old information is still out there in databases, older scanners with pre-programmed systems based on this.

IIRC FC moved from an older 6809 series controller to a newer, still supported MTC3600 around 2002-2003. they also got rid of most of the old STX Gemini radios around this time and replaced them with MTS2000 and XTS5000 portables.

All the old type I fleets were converted to straight type II talkgroups. I remember those days, it was a major production.

I think it was the control channel I was missing.. all is ok now.
Fleet map is still there..
I dont show a way on a bc396t to get rid of the fleet map.
It is on custom , and has block 0, size 3, block 1, etc, etc
and presets 1-13 i think.
What can i use there to put it to default mot type ii?

Also I have been trying to hear gwinnett,dekalb, atlanta, and marta, have tried digitigal and analog setup,
and dont hear anything..
Are all of those counties above completely digital now?
