Can't get a 2055 round here

I'm saving up for a 2055 and there is no radioshack around here selling it. So I'll have to call the 800 number. of course they do sell the 97 which i guess i could make work as a mobile. heck if i went with hand helds i could have 4 scanners in there monitoring mut i still need to figure out how have 4 scanners working off of one glass mounted antenna. I dunno if i can make it work. but i think it would be better just to have the 2055 or the 2096 in there scanning. More later

You will like the 2055.
I have never had much luck running handhelds in a vehicle. They work OK, but they can be hard to hear with road noise.
You won't have any problems hearing a 2055 or the 2096.

If your near a corperate RS, they can order it for you with the Direct2u service. Just go in and purchace it and they ship it to you for free. If the salesman didn't mention that to you when you where in there, well, i'm sorry but sounds like you got some lazy rs people there

i havent asked i 've just went on the website and it says that there is no 2055 anywhere near my zip code and i doubt there is a corperate rs round here. So i guess it'll have to be ordered throught theshack website or 800 number

"Corporate Radio Shack" means a store owned by RS, as opposed to a private electronics dealer that also sells RS products.

Any Radio Shack store (a store owned by Radio Shack) can order any available RS product for you. You pay sales tax but no shipping.
