BCD436HP/BCD536HP: Can't get to 1st base with my BCD436HP

I have had a BCD436HP for quite some time. I consider myself a techy and I'm also a former police officer (from many years ago). But for the life of me I can not get my scanner setup for my local PD. I live in Southaven, MS and there seems to be zero listed for them on any frequencies. Can someone tell me if Southaven PD is using an encrypted system? If so, what must I have in order to be able to listen? I really don't care to hear any other agency, just the one I live in.

I have updated the latest database and firmware using Sentinal. I added a few agencies from my county (DeSoto County, MS) to the favorites list. But I don't even get anything from those.

Any help with be greatly appreciated!

Uh, you may be SOL!!! The little e on Southhaven indicates they are encrypted part time...everything else in De Soto County is encrypted full time, the big E! This is all on the statewide system and is Phase II...which the 436 doesn't do a great job of decoding...but go to the state page in the DB and download the site for De Soto and see what happens. GUD LUCK...

Zoned on that you are using Sentinel...go to the Statewide systems, to MOSWIN and then De Soto county...

That agency is here Mississippi Wireless Information Network (MSWIN) Trunking System, Jackson, Mississippi but they are listed as Te

No scanner can monitor encrypted transmissions. Period! If you found a way to do so without being authorized on the system, you would be violating federal law and be wearing an orange suit.
