I just downloaded Win96 and made some changes to my scanner. I added additional FIPS under the Settings/Weather Tab. I uploaded to my Pro-96 and now I can't receive any weather frequencies. The scanner is just scanning the weather frequencieis, that's it. My frequency here in the Indianapolis area is 162.5500. I don't know what I did in Win96. I hope I didn't mess my scanner up. Any advise? Thanks.
Is the attenuator on? Can you receive it by entering it manually?

No, can't receive by entering manually. Also, I just noticed that my scanner is having trouble trunking my local county's EDACS system. By trouble I mean I'm not hearing near the traffic as usual, the scanner switches back and forth between the "Scan Up" display to a talk group display real fast while making a sound like the police, fire, etc, are keying their mike on and off multiple times. I never had this problem before Win96. I'm not blaming Win96. I just wonder what I changed to have these problems. All I did was add some weather FIPS and a couple of frequencies. Any advice?
Other than the hard reset advice given above, you may have developed a problem with the antenna or antenna connection on the unit. Make sure you didn't snap off the center pin on the antenna's BNC connector. Since it's still under warranty, consider sending it in. May as well get the CPU 1.3 upgrade while you are at it, too. You don't grab your scanner by the antenna, do you? That could cause problems such as you are describing.
Again, check all the attenuator settings - on the WX channels and on the 'Tune Mode' window on the left hand side of the main window ('settings/weather')
