Can't pick up local police

Hi I live in Dane county and I can't pick up my local police. I have a Home Patrol-1. I pick up a lot of channels from around the area.

The ones I'm interested in is the Deforest PD/Fire EMS and Waunakee Police/ Fire EMS. I put in my zip code 53532 and I get everything but the 2 towns I want. can anyone help.

I have firmware version 2.04

You probably won't hear a lot of chatter on the DeForest or Waunakee local channels (public works, police,etc).
The majority of calls you'll have Dane CO Sheriff dispatching for both PDs and well as their fire/ems.

Waunakee PD units are 5700 units and DeForest are 7100 units.

If you hear DeForest units dispatched to a call, their badge numbers all start with 71. So when they are sent out you'll hear something like 7104 being dispatched. And with Waunakee you'll hear 5704 as their unit number,etc.

That make a little sense?

4000 badge numbers are deputies,etc
