Hi, this is my first post here. I am not very knowledgable with scanners as it seems most of you are lol. I have a Uniden BC95XLTB and have been listening to the rcmp on it 24/7 for the last 4 or more years on 155.7 . Just about 2 weeks ago all of a sudden I am not able to hear anything only a buzzing noise and a beep every now and then. Does anyone know what is going on here? Did the rcmp all of a sudden change to digital or what? I was planning on getting a new digital scanner (considering the Uniden BCD396XT) but I didnt want to buy that if I still have the same problem. Can anyone tell me what is on the go?? and aslo what you think of the BCD396XT? Thanks!!

Your suspicions are correct. P25 is slowly being rolled out across NL.
Better save up for that 396XT.
I'd still save the 95XLT for conventional analog traffic tho. It'd be useful for FD/EMS/AIR traffic.
Sorry, I don't have any info on the new system since it's not in the North East Avalon Region yet.
