I talked to someone from Alliance PD, and they told me that they have purchased all of the radios and equipment to switch over to the county's system. Now they are just waiting to be programed, and should hopefully be up and running within the next 30 days... just fyi.

I had heard MARCS from a tech at B&C Communications and the Alliance PD Facebook page has one poster who said MARCS. xusmarine1979 references the county system in his post above. Does anyone know for a fact which system they are moving to?

I haven't heard anything one way or another. Only time will tell for sure. I will be keeping an ear open while monitoring both systems ...

This was sent to me on facebook from Alliance's PD page.

" Hopefully in the next 30 days. We have the
equipment and are now waiting for
programming. It will be the Stark County
System. We will have access to Marcs also so
we can communicate direct with the OSP."

And it was sent to me on Friday...

Alliance is switching to the County System, plans are in the works to buy more radios and "loan" to other agencies in the County as well.

They were/are planning on bidding new CAD software, and any money left over is going to communications/radio purchasing.

Seems they made 41520 "PD HOF", changing it from the 436 or whatever is in the DB from previous years... confirmed this through a friend of mine on CPD Aux...

Ok, today for the parade they are using "Hospital 1" for parade line-up information.

Hearing what sounds like training and unit ID's consistent with Louisville FD on 19728.

W8JKC/M (Tapatalk)

I'm again hearing Louisville City Fire Dept referring to and using their channel 2 tonight during the fireworks and it is talkgroup 19728 as I stated before.

I have submitted the following TG's to RR DB:

20048 - Alliance FD 1 - Digital (Dispatch)
20080 - Alliance FD 2 - Digital (TAC/Talk)

Keep an eye on 18032, I'm thinking that will be Alliance PD 2 (TAC/Talk) however it is not confirmed yet.

Also, I have updated the page from Trunk88 monitoring this system that was mentioned previously in this thread. Stark County, OH 800Mhz Trunking System Information - W8JKC
It now includes radio ID's. The information from Trunk88 which I have been running 24/7/365 since 2010 is uploaded/updated about every 10 minutes.

When will you update Louisville FD 2's TG from 20016 to 19728? I have confirmed that it is correct as I have heard them several times during special events on my scanner talking and switching to channel 2 and it comes up as 19728 not 20016?

Thanks,
jgeitgey

Well, these changes get made to the DB when somebody submits them. Did you click on "Submit" under the Canton / Stark County trunked system page? I don't think you did :)

I changed Louisville FD 2 TGID to 19728 in the DB.

Sorry and thanks Mike,

I over looked the Submit Info tab on the web site. Now I know for the next time.

Have a great weekend,

Thanks, i appreciate that. Admins aren't always watching each and every thread to pick up on the new findings, so it is always best to submit your confirmed findings. That way you can be sure an admin will work the submission and make the necessary changes.

You have a great weekend as well!

I hope the same thing happens with their PD dispatching as I think it is ridiculous for them to be using encryption with Canton City.

I agree. LPD still has their share of crimes, but I've never understood encryption on dispatch channels. Side channels, sure... I'll miss the nice, clear audio from the digital though.

I noticed the latest revision to the RR database lists 2 alternate control channels below 866 Mhz. Is this a precursor to eliminating all channels above 866 Mhz including the control channels? As I understand it, that is the objective of a rebanded system and this system is listed as rebanded. I currently hear it just fine on multiple scanners that have not been set to recognize this system as rebanded.
