Cape Breton Regional Police and Fire

I see that we had lost our live feed today for the Cape Breton Regional Police and Fire, I live in Cape Breton but work in Alberta , I listened to this every nite when im away , I was wondering whats involved to start my own live feed , if someone could please guide me through this , i had read information on this site about it , but i was wondering things like bandwith and will it slow down my computer and stuff , also i had never ported my router before , please Help.....Thanks

id be willing to host a feed for a scanner in the area if someone donated a scanner to do it with
because unfortunately i don't have the money for one at the moment.
