Hello
I was asked the other day what Marine channels are used in the New Bedford Harbor Area for Navigation
and Advisory Frequencies?
Looking at the RR Data base there is a List of some Freqencies (Massachusetts) but its outdated along with many postings on the web.
I know we can go round about what is used but below is a USCG update of What Maritime Channels are
to be used to clear up the confusion
CH11 156.55 is Buzzards Bay Control
CH13 156.65 is Canal Control along with the New Bedford Swing Bridge
CH14 156.70 is Canal Controls Ship Particulars Channel Meaning the Captain will report the Ships
Name ( Captain )- Cargo - Length - Depth and other request by Canal Control
CH16 156.80 Is Navigational Advisory to be used.
Note - CH12 156.60 Is Not to be used as noted in the update from 2016 (This is Port Operations Frequency)
Below is the Updated Posting from the Coast Guard.
