Been down in Buxton all week and haven't heard anything on the four frequencies posted on the database. I've got a couple more days down here before I have to head back north so I'm searching the gov't VHF spectrum to see if I can find anything. I also haven't seen/heard any NPS traffic on the Dare County TRS. Anyone know of any changes?

Hi, thanks for the question. NPS uses the Dare County system routinely even though what is listed is still valid. They do have their own repeaters as listed. I am out range but I went there often before covid-19 and usually hear the rangers using the Dare system.

Enjoy the beach while you are in town.

Regards Richard

They use the dare system and are encrypted
I wonder if they are using TG 14748 on the Dare system. It seems to be fairly active and I didn't see any of those users on other talkgroups. I also found 14788, 14773, and 14728 in use but I didn't spend that much time looking at the users.

NPS Law Enforcement is on the Dare System from my understanding.

There are or were 3 VHF repeater sites and some simplex frequencies in use.
