I saw the video that explains how repeaters work and was just wondering if something like that is used. Not the exact thing, but something like that to extend the range of transmissions. That’s all. Just trying to understand better how repeaters are set up.

If there's some public info out there that says that, than probably yes. But that is a little too specific of a question for a scanner forum. Agencies aren't really in to telling everyone what they have, use, built, or whatever. And regardless of what they use, it doesn't affect listening to them.

How is it too specific of a question? It get asked ALL THE TIME on these forums if agencies are using Motorola vs Tait vs Kenwood, etc etc.
In fact I'd speculate that's a rather common question. The way you guys talk to this kid on here blows my mind, after he asks a very harmless question. And I will keep calling it out every time I see it.

And, most agencies that do radio upgrades have typically very public documentation showing which infrastructure as purchased.

You're fine. You don't need to explain yourself them. You're doing nothing wrong by asking. They seemingly continue to forget this is a radio forum, and not everyone may have the experience they do. Just look past it.

I saw in the video the wattage of portable radios, mobile radios and how devices like that boost range. I was just wondering if that is being used at each of the sites for capital area. Not asking about Tait, or anything else. Those make communications across longer distances possible. That is why I was asking the question.

They used Tait equipment so yes, or very similar. But keep in mind that is only the repeater and power amplifier, there are tons of other equipment in the system that are just as critical to make it all work. GPS timing equipment, combiners/duplexers, network/backhaul equipment, power supplies, battery systems, etc, etc are all needed to make it work. Tait makes some of the best analog simulcast equipment on the market and at a great price point, hence why you'll see a lot of it (like Lakes Region).
