car antenna question

I am enjoying my new Ford Escape with my uniden 396, as I can connect the scanner to my Ford Sync and listen to the scanner over the escape sound system.

My question is this: Is there a way to connect my scanner to my car antenna? Will it work?
Is there an antenna with will work with the radio system and 396 scanner?

I've used these in the past with great success. It also conceals the fact that you are using a scanner by not displaying an additional antenna.

I use a similar thing here in Australia, work great & only the car antenna on the car

The one thing that is over looked, if you are receiving Trunking signals the coupling mentioned.
