Car Charger for 396T

Good evening folks! I'm new to RR, but have had my 396T for about 6 years.
I recently lost my car charger/adapter and reordered a factor replacement from one of the reputable sites.
The site spec'd a UA72, but upon arrival, the yellow tipped plug is definitely too large for hole on the scanner.
I went back to their site and this appears to be the only adapter model for my scanner.

Thoughts on where I (or the vendor) went wrong?

The UA72 is the same model Universal sells, it should work. They may have sent you the wrong one.

Scannermaster has one but I see reports of it not regulating the voltage and burning up scanners.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
I just pulled it back out of the package and BCW did in fact send me the wrong model.
What I received was the DC-1003 (9V - 800ma).
I have enough problems with the 396T being voltage finicky without blatantly plugging the wrong devices in!

So, it goes back tomorrow....

Kudos to BCW. They are shipping me the correct charger/adapter today and told me to keep the wrong one.
That's the right way to do business!
