Car codes for Sterling Hgts P.D

Could someone please explain the car numbering system for Sterling Hgts? Thanks for the help

Freq for Sterling F1 (460.475 has Utica and sterling on it, F2(460.2) is Sterling only.

I thought Sterling Heights was only on 460.475
I'd also like to know the radio number codes, as I am new to the area.

460.475 is F1 also used by Utica, 460.2 is F2 . I've never seen the map for the car codes, but they are areas or grids in the city. Simular to what Warren uses.

460.475 is Sterling Heights primary frequency while 460.200 is Utica's primary frequency. If Sterling has priority traffic only on 460.475, they will use 460.200 as a backup.

Unless you have a digital Apco 25 scanner, enjoy it while you can since they are suppose to be moving to MSP system.

Take a map of sterling heights and fold it in half east to west ( Van Dyke is the fold) Next make 2 folds 1 Along 18 mile road and one along 16 mile road.the Adam area is hall road to the clinton river or 18 mile. Van Dyke to Hayes. Baker is 18 mile or the "River" to 16 mile road. Van Dyke to Hayes. Charlie is 16 mile to 14 mile roads. Van Dyke to Hayes. David is 16 mile to 14 mile dequinder to Van Dyke. Edward is 18 mile to 16 mile road, dequinder to van dyke. Frank is Hall road to 18 mile, dequinder to van dyke. Car 10 is the chief, Trafic cars are the radar cars and can go anywhere. 101,102 are seargent cars. 201,202 are lieutenant cars. Henery cars are special assignment. X-ray cars are the evidence. Except x-ray or just x 61,62,63 these are the animal control trucks. Also They have 2 K9 units. They are x21 and x22. 460.475 is sterlings Freq. 460.2 is their back up and Utica's main. The radios are set as follow: F1) 460.475 F2) 460.200 F3) 460.150 mutual aid w/county. F4) 465.475 car to car. Sterling will be going to the state system soon. I hope this helps you.
