Car Floor Mount

Does anyone have any experience with car floor mounts and the 996XT? I want to put mine in my miata, using a car floor mount, so i can put the scanner over the passenger seat for 90% of the time, but when i get a passenger i can scoot the scanner out of the way. I intend to use the vehicle mount, not the DIN sleeve, so that i can remove the scanner when i want to use it inside(this is my first scanner, will get a second one soon)

Does anyone have any experience with this?

It's called a sawtooth hump mount.

Clarification, looking specifically at PanaVise Products, Inc. Panavise 782-10. Anyone know if that would work?
