I recently bought a Workman KS3 Tri-Band magmount - Antennas

Works great for Airband and 800Mhz, I would assume it works as well in-between those areas but dont listen to much except for Military Air in the 220 range.

Its well constructed, low profile, and it blends in nicely on my black truck :) Check it out, well worth the 30$ imo .

Anyone this this would be a good setup or do you think I would have better results with a magnetic antenna?

You'll be better off with a mag mount on the roof of the car, over a suction cup antenna inside.

As to the double duck thing... I'm not sure what they're trying to accomplish, but, well, let me put it this way - there's a reason why you don't find kluges like that in commercial service.
