You might want to post a picture or something. As it stands, you've not provided enough information to do anything other than make bad guesses.

Looks like a Craig replacement FM car radio to me.

Looks like an after-market replacement FM car radio made by Craig (Japan) in the 1970's to me. They made AM/FM FM car radios, hand held calculators, and crystal scanners, and even TV's etc.

Very interesting even if it only works on VHF Hi band. A really neat find.

Awesome! I can't believe it scanned too! I had a Sonar (might still have it) but it did not scan, it was a four-channel crystal radio.

Inspires me to go find that bad boy and hook it up......now, where might the wife have put that during the last move? recycling??? Yikes!!

Hello Gommert,
Thanks for the link to cbmuseum.
That's the one I was looking for.

My question to you : How far are you with your collection of crystal controlled scanners?

Greetings

Aha, we can speak Dutch. I'm just collecting scanners with a PC port :)
I'm collecting the crystal scanners for the US police scanner museum that will open soon. That collection is so cool.
